Just a rainy day...

Today was your average, ordinary weather for a day in March in Scotland---RAINY. The morning we spent doing our own things, but in the afternoon, I took Melissa & Mum for a walk down part of Great Western Road and down Byers Road. These are two "shopping" areas in the West End (this part of the city) which are viewed by folk as being "posh". Anyway, walking down this particular street is something that most folk do on a Saturday/Sunday if you live in the area--and even if you don't. So, come rain/snow/sleet or hail...folk get out. I have come to the conclusion that if folk who live here never left their homes when it was inclimate weather--we wouldn't get out much! So thanks be to God that rain doesn't stop folk in Scotland for venturing out and being creative--they are after all the country which has given us the telephone, the t.v., various hymn writers, the 'paisley' pattern, shortbread, whisky, and various scientific discoveries--penicillin for one! And this is just the tip of the iceberg... ;o)

Here's pictures of us in Starbucks with my friend Andrew...
