Saturday we embarked on a journey from Glasgow to Dundee via the train. On the train, we met some folk from Minnesota & Colorado who were going to Perth for a wedding. We played a little "Farkle" and even gave a "Farkle" game to our new friends. After arriving in Dundee, we walked up from the station to St. Paul's Cathedral (http://www.stpaulscathedraldundee.org/). We attended the lunchtime concert, where local Dundee lad--Joseph Fleetwood--tickled the ivories for the delight of our ears with the sounds of Bach & Schumann.
After the concert, we went to the DCA--Dundee Contemporary Art building--for our lunch (or as my mum likes to say: "lupper"; a combination between lunch and supper). My friends Alena, Robert and Stuart (musician at the cathedral) joined us there.
After lunch, we went to St. Andrew's over the Tay Bridge to eat some ice cream, visit the cathedral, see the castle---and attempt a viewing of the famous golf course. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived in St. Andrew's, the sun was heading for its bed, so we didn't see the golf course except for the quick "fly-by" in the car on the way. This (I hope) is good news for my brother, because he's the one I really want to take there! :o)
Another full packed day...
