The last day of Carole's visit, we wandered all around Glasgow on foot--well at least through the west end and city centre. We had hoped to visit the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, but it was closed because Jan. 2nd is a national holiday here in Scotland. So, we just took some pictures there and made our way into the city. We also visited the Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis--though again these bits were closed for the same reason. Then we wandered to the area of Glasgow called Merchant City and back through to George Square, before returning home. In the evening, we had dinner at an Indian restaurant on Ashton Lane called Ashokra. It was a most pleasant day!
