A Greenbelt adventure...
many of you are asking what i've been up to and what kind of work i do...
well, here are some pictures from an event called "Greenbelt" which happens each august at the Cheltenham Racecourse in England. Its a big festival, and the Iona Community had a 'tent' there where we did small event-y things AND where everyone sleeps in tents--well, almost everyone. My part, as you may see evidence was to help lead wee sings, sell books & badges (we call them buttons in the states), and to help people feel welcome--even the wee ones. :o)
The picture of my pal Jo above shows the evidence of a 'wee' traveling adventure we had on our way to Greenbelt. We were driving along in a hire-van and blew a tire on the M6 just across the Scottish Boarder into England. So, while we waited for the AA man (AAA person-translation for the US), we had a picnic lunch on the embankment amidst the thistles and waved at truck drivers who were honking. LOL!
